New Frankie and JohnnyFractured History

In 1964, the Wayfaring Seven burst onto the scene winning talent contests and charming their mothers and fathers. In the folk singing hayday, they may never have taken the country by storm but they had fun. Good clean fun. Well, in spite of that limitation, they built a following and then dumped them when they went off to college.
Now they are back, baby. Walking a bit slower and complaining of aches and pains, they have new hope to sing and dance within the harmony once again.
Be sure to pick up their new album on 8-track "Has Anyone Seen My Glasses?". Also available on wax cartridge. You can order their earlier compilations "Bamboo and Other Fibrous Foliage" and "Christmas Caroling for Lost Souls". Available in the Amazon.
Jan 6, 2011 - Happy New Year!
Greetings from beautiful downtown LA.
Today, I uploaded all the songs from the Buried History cassette. Go to Songs\Cassette. No studio embellishments, just the raw content. I may do some tweaking later to get back some bass and maybe add some reverb. I will put these altered versions in a separate section for comparison.
Also, I added a few pics to the High School\When We Were Seventeen section. Plus, you may notice a new picture on the Home page.

Oh so much to discuss. Please grab a cup of coffee and have a seat.
Of course we had a great rehearsal at Jack's as always. I'm pretty sure we left a mess for Jack and Marilyn.
Lots of changes to the website. I've added an FAQ page right up there next to News. Not much information on that page but soon. You'll notice now there are just four main headings Home, Songs, Pictures and Theme. All the songs are now under songs, including our rehearsal plans. Under songs, the first page, "Ours" (formerly called Alphabetical) is still the same. These are the songs I have transferred from tape so far.
Under Reels, I've combined the Full Reels, which always appear as the first song on the left of each Reel section AND the "individual" songs that I have taken from each reel. These will appear after the Full reel and in the order that we sang them on the reel. I'm afraid I may be losing some of you now. In other words, the Reels page lists all of the tapes of us that I have. One reel per major section on the page. The first entry in each section, is the full recording, ie. the whole tape. These range from 8 minutes to 30 minutes long. All the other songs on that reel are also listed within that section in the order they appear on the tape. I will be adding to these as I get time to isolate the other songs on each tape.
That's all for now.

Hear Ye, Hear ye
The Wayfaring Singers will be gathering for some good clean fun and some imbibing on Saturday, Sept 25th at the house of our most gracious host, Mr. Music, Jack Neece and his lovely wife Marilyn, Mrs. Music. I believe the party starts at 6:00. Please come well fed and ready to harmonize.
